I like the concept of having a greater variety in crew skills, but I have a feeling this is just going to add more 'fuzzy' variables for the devs to screw up.

I hope I'm wrong.

This is a very good point. Although, at least it means the dev's are looking to advance the game still.
Fingers crossed they move along to addressing some of the already mounting issues raised by players.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing how all these new skills play out in the actual game- specifically, if you can use them to help tweak your tanks to fight a bit better to your playstyle if you're having trouble with them. If you could get a Tier 9 or Tier 10 outfitted with the equipment and consumables you need most AND tweak the skills and abilities of the crew to make it perform even better in certain key areas (or make up for a lack of performance in others), then you could be looking at some seriously dangerous players.
