1. IMPORTANT: Register on The 116th Homepage under your in game name. Register on Teamspeak under your in game name. Your access is limited to select channels on Teamspeak during your first few days of membership.

2. MORE IMPORTANT. The 116th is a Community of Wargamers. Communities thrive due to members committing long term to it, and stay during the high and low points all organizations go through. DO NOT join us simply to deploy to the wargame that is the flavor of the month or year. DO Join us for long term camaraderie. Before proceeding with the application consider point 2 long and hard before applying.

Only apply if you feel you can meet our expectations consistently.

You will be expected to sign-up and participate in our basic training self study course. This will introduce you to The 116th and our Standards.

Requirements from applicants.

1. Behave like an adult. Being mature, respectful of others, and have patience.

2. Carry yourself by the highest standards in game. We do not trash talk... we focus on winning and having a good time.

3. Dedicated to wargaming in wargames in a team format at least 2 hours a week and attending at least two clan events a month.

4. Agree to use our communications tools and keep up to date with 116th activities. This means you agree to use TeamSpeak and The 116th Forums

5. You are joining The 116th to be part of a team, and that good teamwork means giving time and effort to the team as a whole, not just focusing on your individual needs and desires.

7. You are not and have never have been a member of any extremist hate group including the The Nazi Party, KKK, Al Qaeda, Hammas, or The Swedish Feminist Initiative.

8. You agree not to use SS or Nazi references in any of your in game names.

We do agree that real life considerations take precedence over in game ones and we will always respect that

Application Process

After you submit the application you will need to verify a confirmation email before the application is received by the administrator.

1. You submit this application.

2. After your application is submitted you will be approved or denied within 72 hours.

If approved, you will be contacted by a senior officer with an introduction letter.

Training - Boot Camp - What you must complete in your first 7 Days

1. Completion of Boot Camp.

1A. Rekrut's are given 7 Days to complete basic training via independent learning. Expect to dedicate 3 to 4 hours of time to study and take the Obergrenadier exam (Obergrenadier is the rank above Rekrut).

1B. If the exam is completed successfully you will be promoted to Obergrenadier and become a full fledged member of the clan. If you fail the exam you will be allowed to take a make up exam.

Other Requirements
1. Attend at least two event in the first month of membership. Events are training sessions, clan wars, and clan meetings.

2. New members are expected to introduce themselves on the forums.

3. New Members are expected to add their character names for the clan games in the roster.

Overall

The 116th is looking for members with good teamwork and communication habits who want to be a part of a top notch unit and have the time to contribute. We focus on the individual person not your gaming skills. Its relatively easy to teach someone to be a great wargamer, on the other hand its very difficult to correct someone with an egocentric or dramatic personality.

2A. Loyalty and Dedication are sought after traits of 116th Members. Therefore, by submitting this application you agree not to be a member of any wargaming organization either now or in that future that deploys or will deploy in any of the games listed below.

4. Do you have prior military, paramilitary experience, or real world leadership and/or management experience? If so, for how long and what did you do? (Applicants who have in depth leadership or service experience are much more likely to be admitted to the organization).

5. Do you bring either your ego or drama to the game? (The 116th prefers members who are the strong silent type if you beleive you should receive special treatment SOLELY because you are good at a game or have a high tier tank then we are not the organization for you)

6. Do you volunteer for any organizations in real life? If so, what? (Applicants who have significant volunteer experience are much more likely to be admitted to the organization).

7. Are you over 18? If not, what is your age? If you are under 18 your application is going to have to demonstrate you are an exceptional person and tanker. The average teenager is not a good fit in the 116th but the exceptional and mature one is.

13. The 116th expects members to be problem solvers, all true wargamers are, therefore we ask that if you have an issue or problem rather than complain, do something constructive about it. Is that asking too much of you?
